Spring is in the air! I always try to give myself a moment of downtime before things start to get really crazy. Wedding season has blossomed! Originally, June to August were my super busy months. Now I find that I am constantly on the go from late Spring to early December! This is a busy time, so I put together the Top 5 FAQs for the Bride-to-Be.
In this post, I will cover the Top 5 FAQs for the Bride-to-Be that I get asked the most. This is important information because it’s helpful for our Brides to prepare ahead of time and have an idea of what to expect the day of. I prefer to give as much information as possible so that my clients are never surprised in the months leading up to their big day!

How soon in advance should you book hair and makeup vendors?
It’s not only photographers and venues that book up 12+ months in advance, your beauty team will too! I recommend to book your beauty vendors AT LEAST 9 months in advance. I highly suggest booking your trials well in advance too. Trials are held on select days, and they book up quickly!

Do I have you booked for the whole day?
You have our services booked for the time listed on your quote and we commit to completing them within the timeframe specified on your event date. Once we complete your services, we will do some light touch ups and pack up so you can continue with the celebrations! We offer full day and hourly touch-up packages for an additional fee.

What should my “ready by” time be?
Your “ready by” time is the time that your hair and makeup are complete by, not the time you need to leave. We suggest leaving AT LEAST one hour between the time your party is done hair and makeup by and the time you need to be out of the door on your way. We give you a rough schedule the week before the wedding as well.

How long does each service take?
Generally, Moms and Guests take around 45 minutes to complete. Bridesmaids are complete within 50-60 minutes. Brides generally take around 60-75+ minutes. These are estimates only, and they may vary depending on the look you want to achieve!

What types of brand names do you use?
We LOVE variety! Our artists use everything from cult classic drug store products to high end luxury brands. We keep Brides with sensitive skin in mind when we stock our kits. We know the struggle all too well – I personally have very sensitive skin! Some of our faves include Charlotte Tilbury, Marc Jacobs, Becca Cosmetics, NARS, Makeup Forever, Dior, and Benefit Cosmetics.
